the most common use light source for torch flashlight are high power LED and straw hat type LED. Generally, Straw hat type LED’s brightness is low, around a few lumens, may be a little higher of twenty or thirty lumens, it’s relatively cheap because of low brightness. The most commonly used is the high power LED .This type led is divided into domestic and imported. Domestic LED’s price is relatively cheaper, but the brightness and process are not so good compare with imported led. Now many flashlights are used of imported CREE LED.CREE led flashlight .In Chin,very common cree led  flashlight brands are fenix, tank007,and nextorch.

The power of CREE Led from 1W to 10W or even more, there are a variety of models. At present, the single chip of CREE that commonly used models are: XP-G Q5/R5/T6/U2. Multi-chip commonly used is MC-E CREE. The CREE LED is XM-L is very good. The United States Luminus SST series represents higher brightness, but the price is very high. Considering each manufacturer’s sales and manufacturing costs, SST series are not so cost-effective as CREE. Other brands, such as SSC, Nichia are hardly saw on the market.

2 XENON with Yellow light.

It is similar with halogen bulb. Is more common in the early flashlight, but you can also see them on market as the price is low.its light source life is shorter, generally continuous light is tens to hundreds of hours, but many people love this warm light and its adaptivity and better reliability.

3.HID (high pressure gas discharge lamp)

It is used in cars with white light,and its brightness is the highest currently. In the higher types even have thousands of lumens. But when used in a flashlight, it has a large size and slow start time,also,its life expectancy is only dozens of led.

4.halogen bulb

You may often see halogen bulbs in the home flashlight. Generally, household halogen lamp flashlight (such as tiger brand) is very cheap, and it is warm light in common feature.
